Senior QA Software Engineer - based in KL, Malaysia
Position Summary
We are about to embark on a large, challenging and exciting ‘Greenfields’ project that will result in you being an integral part of this highly qualified, exclusive AGILE development team, using the latest technologies (Silverlight, WPF) while working closely with a project team based in Sydney, Australia.
Position Description
Responsibilities:
• Effective organisation of Technology QA resources - leading the team through requirements review, test plan documentation, test execution, sign-off and release.
• Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices, through continual review and implementation of QA standards and process.
• Liaising with the business to understand business process and translate the test approach to ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements, systems goals, fulfil end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.
• Identify potential test issues and develop corrective action plans, through Analysis of formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
• Participate in the preparation of test analysis, test plans, test execution and sign off to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications
• Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing, such as system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing methods.
• Communication of test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management
• Evaluation, review and implementation of automated testing solutions
• Make recommendations for improvement of applications to Technology Programme Manager, Development Team Leads or Head of Technology.
• Play an integral role in the development of a new member management application with a focus on outward facing functionality for clients via the www;
• Maintain a professional approach to documentation, including drafting project documentation for ongoing reference once a project is completed;
• To deliver results on an iterative basis using an AGILE methodology
• Support and knowledge sharing with other technical and business team members
• Be prepared to learn new skills and work on new and emerging platforms
Skills & Experience Required
Requirements: We are looking for a person with 3-5 years experience in developing, maintaining and supporting product and test environment software to help support the company software quality processes. Additional experience in updating and maintaining technical information required for the ongoing support of products, and to liaising with offshore project teams.
Experience
• Tertiary qualifications in IT related discipline or similar
• Previous experience in (3-5 yrs) software testing, configuration and quality assurance
• Proven experience using automated test tools
• Experience implementing testing environments
• Involvement in maintaining a continuous build environment
• Exposure to .NET based enterprise web applications.
• Proven AGILE development experience
• Ideally knowledge CRM or POS software
• WCF, WPF and Silverlight development experience
• Commercial web development experience (ASP.NET C#)
